Application
Highlighted use-cases so you can quickly match the machine to your job.
The suction blasting cabinet is used for cleaning, deburring, polishing, and surface preparation of small to medium-sized components. It is commonly used in automotive, engineering, casting, fabrication, and maintenance industries where controlled and precise abrasive blasting is required.
The simplest, most effective method for stripping corrosion and old paint from small to mid-sized parts.
A standard fixture in tool and die shops, used for cleaning and surface prep on precision components.
Clears scale and oxidation from parts after heat treatment, before further processing.
Used for controlled peening on light metal parts, improving surface properties without the aggressive force of a pressure cabinet.
Produces a uniform texture or an etched finish that increases coating adhesion, alongside purely cosmetic finishing work.

Product details
A suction blasting cabinet is a cost-effective alternative to pressure blasting for controlled surface cleaning and finishing. Airo Shot Blast manufactures and supplies suction blasting cabinets for tool and mold shops, heat treatment, deburring, and precision cleaning. Prices start from ₹70,000 depending on the model. A suction cabinet works on the induction-suction principle: air moving through the blast gun draws abrasive media into the mixing chamber, where it combines with the air stream and is propelled out through the sand blasting nozzle. Depressing a foot pedal starts airflow through the gun; releasing it stops blasting - giving the operator direct, hands-free control over the cycle.
After striking the workpiece, spent media and dust fall through a grate into the cabinet's hopper for separation. A reclaimer draws the mixture in, screens out oversized particles, and returns clean, reusable media to the hopper - while a dust collector traps fines and dust before discharging clean air. This automatic recovery cycle is what keeps a suction cabinet's abrasive consumption low compared to open blasting.
This closed-loop cycle is what allows a suction sandblast cabinet to run continuously with minimal abrasive top-up.
| Factor | Suction Cabinet | Pressure Blasting Cabinet |
| Best for | Small to medium parts, light/medium cleaning | Heavy scale, thick coatings, larger parts |
| Abrasive consumption | Lower | Higher |
| Starting price (India) | From ₹70,000 | From ₹1.20 Lakh |
| Operating cost | Lower | Higher |
| Cleaning speed | Moderate | Faster on tough jobs |
Recommendation: If you're preparing small-to-mid-sized components for painting, plating, or peening - and want the lowest cost of ownership - a suction blaster cabinet is the right starting point. Move to a pressure blasting cabinet only if you're removing heavy mill scale or thick industrial coatings at volume.
| Model | Best Suited For |
| Suction Blasting Cabinet (ASB-6060) | Compact working area, small components |
| Suction Blasting Cabinet (SSB-9182) | Medium-sized components |
| Suction Blasting Cabinet (SSB-11082) | Larger components, higher-volume work |
Suction blasting cabinet price depends on cabinet size and the number of blast guns fitted, ranging from ₹70,000 to ₹3.5 lakh across our three standard models. The gun itself matters too - a well-aligned gun keeps air and abrasive media flow efficient and reduces wear on the gun body over time, which affects running cost as much as the upfront price.

Ranges from ₹70,000 to ₹3.5 lakh depending on model size and gun configuration. Request a quote for an exact figure.
It depends on component size: the ASB-6060 suits compact/small parts, the SSB-9182 suits medium components, and the SSB-11082 suits larger or higher-volume work.
Suction cabinets draw abrasive up through a hose using a vacuum - gentler, more controlled, and lower media consumption. Pressure cabinets pressurize abrasive directly for faster, more aggressive cleaning at a higher price point.
Glass beads, ceramics, aluminium oxide, and some sizes of steel grit and shot - media is selected based on your application.
Yes - spent media and dust fall into the hopper, where a reclaimer screens out oversized particles and returns clean media for reuse, while a dust collector traps fines.
