What Is a Spinner Hanger Shot Blasting Machine?

A  hanger shot blasting machine suspends the component from a hanger mounted on the cabinet door, rotating it while two or more blast wheel stations positioned strategically around the cabinet fire shot at it continuously. Once loaded, the door closes, the blast wheels engage, and the component is shot blasted homogeneously all around as it rotates; after the cycle ends, the wheels shut off and the door opens for unloading.

This is a form of airless shot blasting, meaning the shot is propelled entirely by centrifugal blasting wheels rather than compressed air, the same principle used in tunnel, swing table, tumblast, and rotary barrel shot blasting machines, applied here to hanging components specifically.

How the Spinner Hanger Blast Machine Works?

The component is placed in a holder or suspended directly from the working gear's rotating hook, then shifted into position in front of the blasting equipment. An automatic feed device advances it to the first blasting position, and once the door locks automatically, the component rotates through three blasting stations according to pre-set blasting times.

Spent steel shot is continuously cleaned, recirculated, and reused - a shot metering device feeds cleaned shot from storage to the high-performance blast wheel throughout the cycle. Once blasting completes and the wheel comes to a full stop, the door opens automatically, and the component returns to its starting position.

A dust collector maintains a partial vacuum throughout the cycle, keeping the operation dust-free by continuously extracting and filtering air during blasting.
