Product details
Suction Blasting is based on Injection Suction principle of blasting. It works on the venturi principle to get abrasive from a non-pressurized storage hopper to the blast gun where it is mixed with the compressed air stream and propelled against the work surface or blasting surface. Suction blast machines are most easily recognized by having two hoses (one for air and one for abrasive media) running to the blast gun.
When we are working with a suction-blast gun, it is easy to recognize, because it has two pipes attached to it, one providing compressed air and one vacuum pipe (abrasive blasting hose) is bringing media into the gun. Pressure-blast nozzles have only one larger pipe to deliver a mixture of media particles and compressed air.
The suction blasting cabinet system uses the venture principle, integrating an air jet one half the inside diameter of the nozzle. This creates a negative pressure in the pipe that sucks the abrasive media into the gun body from the media containing hopper. A suction blaster can operate continuously without shutdowns to refill abrasive media in the storage hopper and can be easily operated with multiple guns over multiple bodies.
Suction blast cabinets provide the ideal cleaning, smoothening and finishing solution to many coating, painting and corrosion problems. They are ideally used for ensuring a decorative or naturally pleasing surface finish across many materials. Suction systems are generally have lower capital cost than a pressure cabinet and use less compressed air, making them appropriate for smaller workshops or lower production environments.
