Internal Pipe Abrasive Blasting Machine (51–914mm ID, up to 12m Length)

We offer two pneumatic models of internal pipe abrasive blasting machines, designed to clean the internal diameter of pipes ranging from 51mm to 914mm, up to 40 feet in length. These tools are easy to operate and require no rotation of heavy pipes — saving both time and labor cost.

The tool is inserted into the hollow pipe and connected to a portable abrasive blaster via a blasting hose, then carried on a lightweight centering carriage and pushed manually from one end to the other. This process removes old paint, rust, and carbon mill scale, delivering a white metal finish ready for recoating.

Key Features of Internal Pipe Blasting Equipment

  • 360° internal blasting for pipe diameters 2″–36″, up to 12 meters in length — removes contamination of any kind
  • No pipe rotation required — works on heavy or fixed pipe sections without extra handling equipment
  • Lightweight and efficient — built for effortless field handling
  • Pneumatically operated — no electricity needed on-site
  • Compatible with Portable Sand Blasting Machine — Models SB PORT 150/300/500/700/1000, quick and easy setup
  • Adjustable centering carriage and collar — one unit accommodates a wide range of pipe diameters
  • Abrasive flexibility — supports mesh 18–40 (excludes river garnet/sand, aluminum oxide, and silicon oxide)
  • Built for heavy industry — refineries, pipe liners/manufacturers, shipyards, water, gas, and chemical plants

Which Model Do You Need?

(I) SB IPBT — For Small ID Pipes (51–305mm)

  • Ideal for small ID 50mm – 300mm.
  • No moving part cleans through the continuous circular motion of blast stream
  • Obtained with the aid of the Tungsten Carbide deflector tip.
  • High-Quality TC parts, ensuring a longer life.
  • Light Weight (5 Kgs) for easy handling.
  • Centering Collars assist to increase range.

(II) SB IRBT (Rotoblast) — For Mid-to-Large ID Pipes (165–914mm)

  • Regularly recognized as ‘Rotoblast’, as rotating head are driven via compressed air, carrying two nozzles positioned radially running at constant velocity to provide uniform and even blasting.
  • The Machine comes with 3 leg support for better grip, centering carriage and two TC lined nozzles.

Industries We Serve

Our internal pipe abrasive blasting machines are built for sectors where pipe integrity, coating adhesion, and downtime cost directly affect operations. Here’s where our machines are most commonly deployed:

Refineries

Refinery pipelines are exposed to constant heat, pressure, and corrosive media, which means internal surfaces need regular descaling and recoating to prevent failure. Our machines clean internal mill scale and rust without requiring pipe removal or rotation — reducing shutdown time during turnaround and maintenance windows.

Pipeline Manufacturers

For manufacturers producing new pipe sections, internal surface preparation is a quality-control step before coating or lining. Our internal blasting equipment delivers a consistent white metal finish across varying pipe diameters (51–914mm), helping maintain coating adhesion standards batch after batch.

Shipyards

Ship piping systems — ballast lines, fuel lines, cooling systems — require internal descaling as part of routine maintenance and dry-dock servicing. Our lightweight, pneumatically operated tools work in tight vessel compartments where rotating heavy pipe sections isn’t practical or safe.

Water, Gas & Chemical Plants

Pipelines carrying water, gas, or chemical media are prone to internal buildup and corrosion over time, which can compromise flow efficiency and product purity. Our machines restore internal pipe surfaces to a clean, coating-ready finish — supporting both preventive maintenance and pipeline rehabilitation projects.

Manufactured in Jodhpur, India — Supplied Worldwide

FAQs

Internal Pipe Blasting Machine: Pricing, Models & Buying FAQs

Choosing the right internal pipe blasting machine comes down to a few key specs — pipe diameter, air supply, and abrasive type. Below are the questions we hear most often from refineries, pipe manufacturers, and plant engineers before placing an order. Still unsure which model fits your application? Get a free quote and our engineering team will recommend the right setup within 24 hours.

Do I need to rotate the pipe during blasting?
No. The tool is inserted into the pipe and pushed manually on a centering carriage while the pipe stays fixed — this is one of the main labor and time savings versus rotation-based cleaning methods.
What air compressor size do I need to run these machines?
It depends on the model/nozzle configuration: SB IPBT needs ~200 cfm at 90 psi, while the SB IRBT variants range from 250 cfm (6–10" ID) up to 600 cfm (24–36" ID) at 90 psi. Confirm your compressor's cfm output against the table on the page before ordering — undersized air supply is the most common setup issue.
What abrasive media is compatible with these machines?
Mesh 18–40 is supported. River garnet/sand, aluminum oxide, and silicon oxide are not compatible with this equipment.
Do I need a separate blaster, or does this come as a complete system?
The internal pipe tool connects via a blasting hose to a portable abrasive blasting machine (compatible with SB PORT models 150/300/500/700/1000), which is sold separately. Let Airo Shot Blast know your setup when requesting a quote so they can recommend a matched pairing.
Can the machine handle multiple pipe diameters, or do I need one per size?
The adjustable centering carriage and collar let a single unit accommodate a range of diameters within its class (e.g., the IPBT covers 51-305mm). For a wider spread across the full 51-914mm range, you'd need both the IPBT and one of the IRBT nozzle configurations (A/B/C).
Do you ship internationally, and what's included for export orders?
Yes — Airo Shot Blast exports to 40+ countries, with full export documentation, freight-ready packaging, and technical datasheets for procurement/engineering teams.
How is pricing structured, and how fast can I get a quote?
Pricing is manufacturer-direct (no reseller markup) and varies by model, nozzle configuration, and any custom specs. Quotes are typically returned within 24 hours — just provide your pipe diameter, length, and application.
Can the machine be customized for non-standard pipe specs?
Yes. Nozzle size, mesh compatibility, and carriage setup can be tailored to your pipe specs — mention any non-standard requirements when requesting your quote.
What industries typically use this equipment?
Refineries, pipe manufacturers, shipyards, and water/gas/chemical plants — anywhere internal pipe surface prep, coating adhesion, or turnaround downtime is a priority.
